What's on your mind?

Familiar question?

We answer it every day if you are not the type of user who change their "Facebook - mind status" every minute. Who doesn't have an FB account? I know some who cancelled theirs already, for some personal reasons. I have thought of cancelling mine too, at one point...until I realize that somehow, we can use this as a tool for spreading the Good News.

If you are my friend, you can surely read Bible verse and some preachings or Biblical phrase on your news feed or ticker from my account, whether you like it or not! And that's what I like about it... being able to reach other people and share God's Words even to those who weren't reachable before.

Who needs a break?

Few minutes ago, I felt so tired and restless...
I needed a break.

I first thought of making a chai but I didn't find my mug in the pantry, so I erased the tea break on my mind.
I walk along the corridor and went to toilet to freshen up.
Ate was there... the Filipina cleaner.

As I was washing my hands, I took a deep breath and sigh - "Hay kapagod!"
Suddenly, Ate said in a very calm voice, "Sinong mas pagod sa atin?"

Boom!!!

It took me a while before I finally find the right words to say..."Oo nga po, kayo maghapon ng naglilinis. Masakit na po kasi mata ko sa harap ng computer."
Ate said, "Nakakapagod din ung mag isip ano? Pero malaki naman ang bayad sa inyo, sulit naman."

In few seconds, all the weariness that I felt seems to escape from me... crawling away from my complaining body, not wanting to hear another word from Ate's sad and frustrating story.

I Saw The Signs...

...but I rejected it.

How many times do we need to ask for it?
And how many confirmations do we need for us to believe?

As human beings, we always want to be 101% sure in every step that we'll take.
We need a guarantee that this will turn out the way we wanted it to be.
An assurance that we are on the right track...

Hence, because of that, we tend to limit our capacity.
By playing safe, we are not able to maximize our potentials... and not giving our best in things that we do often results to frustrations.

What are you wearing today?

When was the last time you visited the mall?
Have you seen the lastest collection from your favorite boutique, or you already had one?

Red tags and signages are all around the malls here in Dubai as the end of the Dubai Shopping Festival... finishing all the stocks before the launching of the new collection...

In the fancy world where I move, with the walking manequins that I can see everyday with the most expensive bags and shoes that they wear... it makes me think whether these people get satisfied ever, with what they have?

Here in the office, while walking along corridor, some people will look at you as if they are security officer checking whether you have bombs under your shirt... or as if they are computing your 'value' for what you have, from head to foot.
