After seeing 3 ENT Specialist, 2 Otolaryngologists, a Neurologist, an Internist and a Dentist; I was diagnosed to have SSNHL.
To those of you who are like me that just heard about this, you can click the link and check; that was what actually happened to me. I have also shared with you my personal experience when The Adventure Begins, with the initial diagnosis from ENT here in Dubai, before we headed to Manila as I was Listening With One Ear.

Upon seeking further medications back home, I learned that I wasn't given the right first aid treatment here in Dubai. The first two weeks after the attack was the most critical stage, with higher chances to regain the hearing. But apparently, the medications that they gave were wrong. My Internist was so disappointed seeing the medicines that I was taking at that time; there's one for Glaucoma treatment and the other one is for blood pressure and chest pain...
First step during my treatment was the general check up. Lab tests, x-ray and ultrasound. With the grace of God, all is clear and normal. No need to worry about the internals...
When all is clear, ENT Specialists / Otolaryngologists appointment were set. They have the same assessment. Though they have suggested different treatments, they have been honest with me in saying that there is only a little chance of recovery...
One common suggestion is the Steroid Injection. At first, we have considered it... but there is something in me that refused; the voice saying 'don't do it' is louder than 'yes, try it!'.
I've seen 4 ENT already... before we go on the fifth, I prayed and asked God to speak to us, to give us the wisdom to know which of the doctors' advice are we going to follow...
As we always say, God works mysteriously in our lives. That fifth appointment was supposedly the first ENT doctor that I will be seeing; but some things happens along the way... and I believe message was being sent along the process. We, I and my family needs to undergo this test of faith - while doctors repeatedly explain to us that there is NO cure at all, some things happen just like that... I know something great is about to unfold.
The fifth doctor is different, as God spoke to us directly through him. Comparing to the 4 ENTs, we have received the peace of mind as the doctor was explaining my condition with clarity and honesty. I will never forget his words: "I am sad that I cannot give you any good news since there is nothing that I can do with your condition... but if you believe in miracle, it will happen."
Yes! You heard me right... (errr... you read it right) From PTA 0.00, and declared as dead nerve; I can now hear some sounds already, and it is increasing day by day. I accidentally noticed it while using my friend's mobile phone as I unconsciously used my right ear... I heard the recorded message from the network. It was the first time that I hear again from my left... though the sound is still very low, the fact that it is not zero any more 'loudly' means everything will be fine... in His time.
2 days ago, while my friend and I was having phone conversation, I suddenly thought of using my left ear just to test if I can hear her with the normal office environment... and it's an 'screaming' YES!!! I was able to hear her, louder than the first attempt from mobile... though it was not that clear yet, but the volume has increased!
I know it will take time before my hearing recovers completely; might be months or years... I am not bothered any more. I am secured. I have received the healing already...
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
