Christ-ian

In the word Christian, what will happen if we remove CHRIST?
I-A-N was left...

I
Am
Nothing

Again, this is stock knowledge, something that I learned during grade school...
Yet from then on, it was glued on my mind... a post-it reminder that keeps echoing in my memory.

Without Christ, I Am Nothing.

To be a Christian... all we need is Christ.
This very simple fact has always been the missing link to connect other 'Christians' to reality... we tend to make things complicated... tried hard to do what 'we think' will save us and will make us worthy of His grace.

We may have done the greatest act of charity... donated millions... save people's lives... send many kids to school... serve country with all honesty... sacrificed your personal happiness for others... even gave your life to someone else...

Yet, its nothing, unless we accept Christ.

"8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves. it is the gift of God - 9 not by works, so that no one can boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6

Simple words... but we tend to exaggerate.

But this is what Christianity is all about: Christ.
The rest will follow if we accept Christ in our lives and make Him the reason for living; the very purpose of our existence.

5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. - 2 Corinthians 13:5-6

Try the test... lets examine ourselves...

Many of us have tried hard to be fulfilled... whether in our career or family...
We work hard to satisfy ourselves with many accomplishments...
We have reached our peak yet still, we were never contented...
Hungry for more... looking for far greater things that we thought we can achieve...

But we cannot. Man's satisfaction is just an illusion...
Unless we accept the Only One who can make us complete.

...because to Him, we are everything.
