Start Your Year Right...

For a believer, life is a growing collection of God stories...

See beyond your vision.

Become Your Dream

A Colorful  & Prosperous 2012 to you!

Let me start this by sharing an excerpt from our CEO's New Year message to us...

Mahatma Gandhi said: "Be the change you want to see in the world."

And a year like 2011 in our region has certainly demonstrated the validity of this message. Across the Middle East and North Africa, people have made their voices heard, and I urge you to do 2 things:

First, Listen. Filter the truth and understand the new world we live in....
Equally important to listening is having a point of view and taking action. Have your voice and let it be heard. Stand for what you believe and do what you love. We have the power, the talent and the ambition to be as powerful as far reaching as our dreams can take us... Realize and become your dream...

Since Sunday, I have been thinking of topic for the year-end or new year article. I have been praying for wisdom on what to share to everyone.

Shall I make a recap of what happened in 2011? A year - end repost perhaps? Or shall I make a list of my new year's resolution and to-do-and-not-to-do list for the year?

Hence, you probably have read all the recap of 2011 - good and not so good things that happened in the past. And surely, you had prepared your new year's resolution as well (if you are that type) or at least had enumerated in mind things that you want to improve for the new year (that's my type).

So it took me a week to finally open this page and started to write... thanks to our CEO for the inspiring words.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Ending 2009

Indeed, it was a year.

2009 gave the whole world a history of good and not so good events; wide lists of calamities, tragedies, war, crisis, death...

We had felt the storm from the very beginning of the year at the war in Gaza.
People took advantage of the financial crisis and unemployment as they illegally recruit people to work abroad, just like those Filipino drivers here in Dubai.
Great people passed away...
There was the A H1N1 epidemic, worldwide...
Water covered Central Luzon by typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng... Tsunami washed the Islands of Samoa...
Indonesia Earthquake that took thousand lives...
Mindanao Massacre...
Flood is all over in KSA...
Huge fires burned dreams of many families on different parts of Manila, just before Christmas...
Recently, the 2 ferry disasters...

hayyyssss!!!

What more could we get?
There are one day left before 2009 closes... and we will never know what will happen tomorrow.

On all the above tragedies... are there any reasons to celebrate?

Definitely, if you are now reading this blog... you should say YES.
Because you are still able to read... and you have a computer... you have an internet... you have an electricity... you have time... you have life.

We had been pushed to our limits. Our faith has been tested through this most difficult times.
Each of us had our own share of sufferings...
And the only difference is on how we handle these hardships.
How we manage the pain.
How we cling to His words, and hold onto His promises.
On how we live by faith, and asked patiently for mercy and grace.

On one of the darkest year that was, we manage to stand.
We may not realize... but yes, we survived.

"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:31

the year that was...

my 2008 was totally a struggle.
and i am thankful that somehow, i am surviving.

world crisis cant stop us from believing that 2009 will be a greater year.

as this chapter of history ends, 2008 shared much to everyone.
good and most are not so good.
different things that changed someones life...

we cant even imagine how we were able to overcome those.
but its all over now.
those that seemed impossible before are now part of our past.
written in the pages of our history...
hard to believe but its actually over - solved - finished - kalas!

and in the peak of this crisis...
fears and worries keeps on bothering us.
dont be troubled by those... 2008 is tough, yet we survived :)

the New Year marks another beginning.
a new hope that tells us not to give up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

congratulations for surpassing 2008...
and all the best for 2009!

cheers!
